Everything we carry is bought directly from authorised retailers. What arrives at your door is exactly what sits on the shelf in Seoul or Tokyo, without the customs headaches or the guesswork.
How SoJan began
SoJan started the way most good ideas do: with a small, persistent frustration. Our founder kept watching the same thing happen. A perfume, a hair tool, a bag would take over feeds in Seoul, sell through flagship stores in Tokyo, and then simply never make it here. If you lived outside Korea or Japan, getting it meant long waits, complicated forwarding arrangements, and a quiet worry about whether the thing in the box was real.
That gap felt wrong for something so simple. The products existed. The stores existed. What was missing was someone on the ground you could trust.
So SoJan built exactly that. Our personal shoppers spend their days moving through Seoul and Tokyo the way a well-connected friend would: flagship counters in Seongsu, department floors in Ginza, the small authorised retailers that stock what the big platforms never will. They select each piece by hand, buy it over the counter, and send it home to you. A considered edit, carried back from the source.
What we stand for
Authenticity, always. Every product is purchased in person from authorised retailers in Seoul and Tokyo. No grey market, no resellers, no parallel imports of unknown origin. The packaging, the batch, the scent: identical to what you would buy standing in the store yourself.
An edit, not a catalogue. We carry ReFa and Shiro from Tokyo, and Tamburins, Stand Oil, Marge Sherwood and OSOI from Seoul, alongside a rotating selection of the labels people ask us about most. If it is already stocked everywhere, it probably will not be here. If it is on your feed before it is in local stores, it is likely on our list for the next run.
First access. SoJan works on a pre-order and drop model. Each sourcing run opens a limited allocation, and once it is filled we may not be able to reopen it for some time. The scarcity is real; it is how in-person sourcing works.

We are Australian at heart with a local team answering questions in your time zone. But the run does not stop there: SoJan ships globally, with tracked delivery, so the same pieces our shoppers carry out of Seoul and Tokyo can land across Australia, United States or anywhere in between.
