The Story

To Summer's founder spent a decade drinking and studying tea across China's most celebrated tea mountains. On one trip through Yunnan's Jingmai Yi Wu region, the smoke curling through the air during tea processing left a lasting impression - proof that Chinese tea is not simply fragrant, but layered: bitter, sweet, and deeply warming all at once. That conviction led to a collaboration with internationally acclaimed perfumer Jérôme Epinette, known for his work with Byredo, to bring those three dimensions to life in a single scent. Triple Tea, or 茶茶茶, is part of To Summer's Eastern Essence Eau de Parfum series - fragrances rooted in the landscapes and seasons of China.

The Scent

The opening is fresh and slightly bitter, built around mate tea and green tea with a whisper of lemon verbena that recalls the clean, astringent first pour of a freshly brewed cup. The heart shifts into a richer, more romantic register with black tea, violet, and jasmine - the wandering floral character of Chinese red tea in bloom. The base settles into something unhurried: smoky rock tea, dried grass, and a faint sweetness that mirrors the "returning sweetness" sensation that lingers after drinking aged oolong.
